Killers, The. 1964.
It's absolutely a B-film, but it's also a great car film. Cassavetes is a racer "lured" by Angie (at her prime, just after her "Kennedy years") into driving the getaway car for crime lord Reagan (the only time he ever played a bad guy!). The lesson here is that it only takes 1 dame to mess up a perfectly good racing career!
Reagan has a great sneer on his face during the entire film, and it's notable as his last film. The racecar is an original Cobra and there is plenty shown of it.
Screenplay was by Gene L. Coon, of Star Trek fame. I like this film - it should be in any collection that includes 50s/60s-style films!Starring: Ronald Reagan, Angie Dickinson, Lee Marvin, John Cassavetes
Label: MCA Universal Home Video
Color, 1 hr 35 min
Format: VHS - NTSC
